Yoga is associated with postures, however, Yoga is an effective tool to promote self care, self discipline and self awareness.  
Synchronising breath and movement on the yoga mat will help to bridge the disconnect between body and mind and cultivate a deeper awareness of your internal state.

Why Yoga for Teens (13 to 19 years)? 

The teenage years are some of the best years of our lives. A time of discovery, physical change, future opportunities and yet they can also be some of the most challenging years of the life. It can lead to increased stress levels, anxiety, lack of concentration, concerns about body image, loss of interest and notional mental roadblocks. This is where Yoga and it’s practice stands out in its unique ability to train the mind to let go of negativities and to bring inner transformation. This creates extra mental space and energy which can be channelized in doing more productive activities.

12 weeks Yoga Program will focus on: 

​

1. Face Yoga and eye exercises - To release tension and tone facial muscles for healthy skin. To strengthen eye muscles and protect eyesight. 
2. Warm-ups, Yoga postures, Sun and Moon Salutations - To strengthen your muscles, increase flexibility and rejuvenate functioning of all systems. 
3. Yogic Breathing Techniques - To develop correct breathing patterns and use breath as a tool to control mind and it’s fluctuations. 
4. Instant, Quick and Deep Relaxation Techniques - To provide deep rest to different muscle groups, vital glands and organs and to energise body-mind for challenging situations. 
5. Candlelight and Guided Meditation - To develop better focus and increased concentration. To stay connected with self and keep awareness in present moment. 
6. Chanting of selected verses from Bhagwad Gita - To understand deep rooted meanings in Indian scriptures and it’s application. 
7. Yogic Counselling - To learn and adopt specific yogic principles in day to day life for mental and emotional health.
